Description :
Merinoflex renders attractive and smooth edge to your furnitures. It allows the laminate to take to roll in a simple radius over the edges of the substrate.
Fabrication & Assembly : -
Merinoflex must be bonded to a substrate of reliable quality, such as particle board, medium density fibre board, or plywood. For best result, follow the techniques recommended by the adhesive manufacturer. Take care to assure an appropriate moisture balance between the laminate and the substrate prior to fabrication. The face and back of laminates as well as substrates should be conditioned in the same environment for 48 hours before fabrication. The recommended conditioning temperature is 75?F (24?c) and relative humidity is about 45%.
Using Postforming machinery, a sheet will form throughout its thickness, at a nominal temperature of 325?F (163?C ) in 20 (?5 ) seconds. Postforming temperature ranges from 140? to 170?C.
To avoid stress cracking, do not use square-cut corners. All inside corners should have a minimum of 1/8 inch (3.18 mm) radius and all edges should be routed smooth.
Care & Maintenance : -
The decorative surface may be cleaned with warm water and mild soaps, such as those used for hands or dishes. Do not use cleansers which contain abrasives, acids or alkalis; they will damage the decorative surface. Remove stubborn stains with a 2-minute exposure to hydro chloride bleach, followed by a clean water rinse.
It is recommended not to allow any of the following reagents to remain in contact with the decorative surface.
Hydrochloride bleach (except as described above)
Hydrogen peroxide solution
Mineral acids, hydrochloric acid, sulphuric or nitric acid
Sodium bisulphate
Potassium permanganate
Berry juices
Silver nitrate in 1% concentrate
Gentian violet
Mild silver protein, such as 20% argyrol
Fabric dye
Alcohol containing 1% iodine in solution.

Formed edges for counters, desktops, cabinet doors and drawer panels etc.
