The history of furniture production at the hostivař site of TECHO, a.S. Dates back to the fifties of last century when the first production facility of the state wood processing company Dřevozpracuj?c? podnik (DZP) opened. The then modern technology and skilled workforce enabled the company to participate in prestigious projects such as the reconstruction of the National Theatre and the Rudolf?num.
In 1992, TECHO, a.S. Built on these successes by launching the development of new ranges of office furniture corresponding to European standards. In connection with this there was a fundamental upgrading of the production facilities to bring them into line with the latest standards and enable the most modern production techniques. These steps, together with successful cooperation with foreign designers led by Dutch designer Hans Verboom, quickly brought results that significantly increased the competitiveness of the company.
TECHO a.S. Has won and successfully completed many prestigious projects such as the furnishing of office interiors for the headquarters of Komerčn? banka on V?clavsk? n?měst?. The size of the project and the close collaboration with the internationally acclaimed Czech-born architect Eva Jiřičn? makes this one of our most important orders. With a value of around 130 million crowns, this order placed us among the European manufacturers of office furnishings. Two years later, and against strong competition, Techo won a tender for the largest investment project at that time into office furnishings – the Czech National Bank. This project lasted for over three years and represented a turnover of 340 million crowns. In following years we concentrated on long-term cooperation with large companies and succeeded in concluding general agreements with, for example, ČEZ, Česk? spořitelna, MZV and Philip Morris. The latest success in the area of long-term relationships is the signing of a general agreement with the financial group PPF of Petr Kellner, which is the strongest financial entity in the Czech market. This group owns, for example, Česk? pojišťovna, Home credit, and E-Banka. We cannot list key projects without mentioning the installation of the interior of Sazka Ar?na prior to the Ice Hockey World Championships in 2004. This project again moved our company to a different level in the quality of our provided services. The size of the order was comparable with the Czech National Bank project but implementation was performed in a record time of six months.

Important companies providing comprehensive services in the area of the furnishing of commercial interiors in Central and Eastern Europe and is also a major manufacturer of office furniture in the Czech Republic. Its customers include major banks, financial institutions, international companies and government organisations. Our Product Include sophisticated, sturdy and flexible beam system designed for contemporary offices, executive offices and training and conference rooms. Above all Arkus is simple to understand, specify, install and reconfigure, with the entire system comprising very few components. The system consists of profiled steel legs fixed to structural horizontal steel beams which also support the worksurface brackets, joints and accessory fittings. The frame is finished with a high quality powder coating in the following colours: RAL9007 (gunmetal), RAL9004 (black) and RAL9022 (silver). Worksurfaces are from 18 mm MFC with 3 mm ABS edge, or Ekotech (MDF with 0.8 mm HPL) in the following colours: light grey, beech, wild pear, Swiss pear and white oak. The height of all desk configurations using the C or A leg can be adjusted from 735 to 750 mm using levelling feet.
