Officina meccanica Porro specialises in the production of metal furniture fittings. Set up in 1946 by Alfredo Porro in the early years the accent was typically on manual skills, poor in means and technology, but rich in enthusiasm, invention and determination.

This type of start is typical of industry in the Brianza area, particularly in the furniture sector. The first milestone came in 1958 more than a decade after the end of the war, with construction of a new factory, later extended in a number of phases.

The start of the new millennium marks a further turning point in the company’s history, with construction of new premises.
Conceived and designed around the product and production process, the new factory will enable the company to launch out onto the global market, taking on the challenges and combining technological innovation and organisation with creativity and design.

We provide Specializing in furniture accessories such as knobs, keyholes, keys, handles and other decorations, as well as pipes, shelves, and supports. In Italian and English. Organisation and Production :- The company has 200 employees and uses 432 machine tools. It produces 32, 380 articles sold in 76 countries, specialising in metal gaskets for furniture, doors and trimming. Sophisticated design and prototyping systems, highly innovative technology and a technical assistance system in support of design allow us to develop customised products in collaboration with the customer, including in the sectors of high fashion, lighting and naval mechanics and for the automotive industry. Design, tool construction and the full production cycle are completed in-house, enabling us to guarantee design confidentiality and optimise the design/delivery process, making us the only guarantor of our product’s suitability. The company has a fully-equipped call centre to ensure that every request receives the best possible response in terms of time, comprehensiveness and technical and commercial content to meet the customer’s highest expectations.
